In the case of data transmission to Canada, an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
4) Cookies
To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, which are small text files stored on your end device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted after the browser is closed (so-called "session cookies"), while others remain on your device for longer and allow the saving of page settings (so-called "persistent cookies"). In the latter case, you can find the storage duration in the overview of your web browser's cookie settings.
Insofar as personal data is also processed by individual cookies used by us, the processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR either for the performance of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in the case of consent granted, or in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website as well as a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general.
Please note that if cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.
5) Contacting us
When contacting us (e.g., via contact form or e-mail), personal data is processed – exclusively for the purpose of processing and responding to your request and only to the extent necessary for this.
The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If your contact aims at a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question is finally clarified and provided no statutory storage obligations prevent this.
6) Data processing for order processing
6.1 Insofar as necessary for the performance of the contract for delivery and payment purposes, the personal data collected by us will be passed on to the commissioned transport company and the commissioned credit institution in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
If we owe you updates for goods with digital elements or for digital products on the basis of a corresponding contract, we will process the contact data you provided during the order process to inform you personally within the framework of our legal information obligations in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. Your contact data will be used strictly for the purpose of communications regarding updates owed by us and will only be processed by us to the extent necessary for the respective information.
6.2 Post & DHL Shipping (official)
For the preparation of shipping, we use the services of the following provider: Deutsche Post DHL Research And Innovation GmbH, Kurt-Schumacher-Str. 1, 53113 Bonn, Germany
In accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, we transmit digital shipping labels containing your delivery information to the provider exclusively for the purpose of processing the online order from our order processing system, which then sends them to our local printers to enable printing. The data is only passed on to the extent that it is actually necessary for processing.
6.3 Use of payment service providers
- Google Pay
If you choose the "Google Pay" payment method from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), the payment is processed via the "Google Pay" application of your mobile device, which must be running at least Android 4.4 ("KitKat") and have an NFC function, by charging a payment card stored in Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g., PayPal). To authorize a payment via Google Pay of more than €25, it is necessary to first unlock your mobile device using the verification method set up (such as facial recognition, password, fingerprint, or pattern).
For the purpose of payment processing, your information provided during the ordering process, along with information about your order, will be passed on to Google. Google then transmits your payment information stored in Google Pay in the form of a one-time transaction number to the origin website, which verifies the payment. This transaction number contains no information about the actual payment data of your payment methods stored in Google Pay, but is created and transmitted as a one-time valid numeric token. For all transactions via Google Pay, Google acts solely as an intermediary to process the payment. The execution of the transaction takes place exclusively in the relationship between you and the origin website by charging the payment method stored in Google Pay.
Insofar as personal data is processed during the described transmissions, the processing takes place exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Google reserves the right to collect, store, and analyze certain transaction-specific information for every transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the date, time, and amount of the transaction, merchant location and description, a description provided by the merchant of the goods or services purchased, photos you have attached to the transaction, the name and e-mail address of the seller and buyer or sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description for the reason for the transaction, and, if applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.
According to Google, this processing takes place exclusively in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interest in proper accounting, verification of transaction data, and optimization and maintenance of the functionality of the Google Pay service.
Google also reserves the right to combine the processed transaction data with other information that is collected and stored by Google when using other Google services.
The terms of use for Google Pay can be found here:

The disclosure of your data in this case occurs exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with the provider and only to the extent necessary for this.

To safeguard our legitimate interest in determining the creditworthiness of our customers, this data is forwarded by us to the provider for the purpose of a credit check in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. For the decision within the scope of the application check, in addition to internal criteria of the provider, identity and credit information from the following credit agencies may also be included in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR:

The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. Address data, among other things, flows into the calculation of the score values, but is not limited to this.
You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending us a message or by contacting the provider. However, the provider may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

6.4 Electronic withdrawal function for distance contracts
Consumers who conclude contracts on this website for which a statutory right of withdrawal exists have the option to declare the withdrawal via an electronic withdrawal function in accordance with the applicable withdrawal provisions.
To provide the electronic withdrawal function, we use a solution from the following provider: Martini & Radl OG, Garnisongasse 4, 1090 Vienna, Austria.
When using the withdrawal function, in addition to information identifying the contract to be withdrawn, other personal information such as the first and last name as well as the e-mail address of the consumer must be provided or confirmed.
This information is first collected by the provider on the basis of our legitimate interest in a user-friendly, stable, and process-optimized solution in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, then used to confirm receipt of the withdrawal declaration on our behalf via e-mail, and finally transmitted to us. We subsequently process the transmitted information for the proper handling of the withdrawal in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR and Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR based on our legal obligation to provide an electronic withdrawal function for distance contracts with consumers that are subject to a charge.
The information collected by the provider is routinely deleted after final processing of a withdrawal, provided no statutory storage obligations prevent this.

7) Web analysis services
7.1 Cloudflare Web Analytics
Our website uses the web analysis service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St. San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
To protect our site visitors, the provider uses a pseudonymized visitor identifier to enable various analyses of page usage within a short time window of a maximum of 24 hours. This visitor identifier is a randomly generated, time-limited hash value created based on a reduced set of technical attributes. These include, in particular, the user agent (information about browser and operating system) and the anonymized IP address, which is processed exclusively for the duration of the analysis and subsequently discarded.
Insofar as personal data is processed in individual cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization purposes pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. In this case, you may object to the collection and storage of your visitor data for the future at any time by notifying us.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
7.2 Shopify Analytics
This website uses the web analytics service provided by: Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland
Data is also transferred to: Shopify Inc., 150 Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4, Canada
With the help of cookies and/or similar technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, algorithms for reading out end-device and browser information), the service collects and stores pseudonymized visitor data, including information about the end device used, such as the IP address and browser information, in order to evaluate it for statistical analyses of user behavior on our website and to create pseudonymized user profiles. Pseudonymization generally precludes a direct connection to a person. Data will not be combined with other clear data regarding your person that has been collected in another way.
All processing described above, in particular the reading or storage of information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which protects the data of our site visitors and prohibits disclosure to third parties.
For data transfers to Canada, an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
7.3 Shopify Network Intelligence
The "Shopify Network Intelligence" function provided by Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland ("Shopify") is used on this website.
By means of this function, certain data (order and search histories, location information, and transaction details), insofar as collected, are automatically transmitted to Shopify in pseudonymized form, processed by Shopify, and subsequently used for statistical and analytical purposes.
The analysis results may also incorporate pseudonymized data from customers of other Shopify merchants, without us receiving individual access to these external datasets outside of our own customer base.
Shopify does not gain access to clear data during processing, but rather automatically encrypts the information via a special algorithm during the transmission process.
Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of our shop's reach and the acceptance of our offerings for optimization purposes.
Within the scope of the aforementioned processing, your data may also be transferred to: Shopify Inc., 150 Elgin St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4, Canada.

8) Tools and miscellaneous
Cookie Consent Tool
This website uses a so-called "Cookie Consent Tool" to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The "Cookie Consent Tool" is displayed to you when you access the page in the form of an interactive user interface, where you can grant consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications by ticking the relevant boxes. Through the use of this tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if you grant the corresponding consent by ticking the box. This ensures that such cookies are only set on your respective end device if consent has been granted.
The tool sets technically necessary cookies to save your cookie preferences. As a general rule, no personal user data is processed here.
Should personal data (such as the IP address) be processed in individual cases for the purpose of saving, assigning, or logging cookie settings, this is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in compliant, user-specific, and user-friendly consent management for cookies, and thus in the legally compliant design of our website.
A further legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. As the controller, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user's consent.
Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
Further information on the operator and the settings options of the Cookie Consent Tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

- Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR;
- Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR;
- Right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR;

- Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR;
- Right to withdraw consent granted pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR;
- Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR.
9.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT
IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF A BALANCING OF INTERESTS ON THE BASIS OF OUR OVERRIDING LEGITIMATE INTEREST, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE.
IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL TERMINATE THE PROCESSING OF THE DATA CONCERNED. HOWEVER, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CONTINUE PROCESSING IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES TO ASSERT, EXERCISE, OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS.
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING. YOU CAN EXERCISE THE OBJECTION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL TERMINATE THE PROCESSING OF THE DATA CONCERNED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES.
10) Duration of storage of personal data
The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing, and – where applicable – additionally by the respective statutory retention period (e.g., commercial and tax law retention periods).
When processing personal data based on express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, the data concerned is stored until you revoke your consent.
If there are statutory retention periods for data processed within the framework of legal or quasi-legal obligations based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, this data is routinely deleted after the expiry of the retention periods, provided it is no longer required for contract fulfillment or contract initiation and/or we have no continuing legitimate interest in further storage.
When processing personal data based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, this data is stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.
When processing personal data for direct marketing purposes based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, this data is stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR.
Unless otherwise stated in the other information of this declaration regarding specific processing situations, stored personal data is otherwise deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
